“I can’t believe that it is finally time to go on the coaster, let’s go get in line” said my sister.
2 HOURS LATER
“Yes, were finally at the front of the line” said my sister
We load the load the cart and look ahead of us and see the twisty turny track and the giant hill in front of us.
As we slowly inch forward my sister screams “I don’t have a good feeling about this.”
Then, we start to go up the hill and all I can hear is click clack of the track.
Then I made a HUGE mistake, I looked down.
“OMG, don’t look down” I said shakily to my sister.
But, then she looked down and started to scream.
“Get me out of here, I don’t want to be here ahhhhhhhh” she screamed.
By then we had almost made it to the top of the roller coaster. At the top there was a small plateau.
“Yes, I am so relieved, said my sister we are almost to the top.”
“No, that’s bad, the worst part of the roller coaster is coming up” is said.
But then we started to slow down and then slowly pulled to a stop.
“Help help help” yelled everyone on the roller coaster.
My sister started to cry “Were never going to get out of here and were going to die.”
“I wonder if they even realize that were up here” said the guy in front of us. Then the next group of cars pulled up behind us and bumped into us. That caused us to plummet forward, down the hill. At the end we all ran off and saw that the people behind us were still up there. We called people for help and saved them. We were so shaken up we went straight home and went to sleep.

Petland
Recently my group and I have been researching whether or not the Petland in Pewaukee uses puppy mills or not. We have called many different Petlands and animal shelters and we have concluded that the Petland in Pewaukee uses unstable houses for their dogs. We found on the internet that the 2 names of the breeders that Petland gave us were both arrested for having a puppy mill.

Book Rewiew
In the book “ Feeling Sorry for Celia” there are many unique characters that play a massive part in this story. One of the characters in the book is Celia. Celia, is a different kind of person. She has done some crazy things like shaving her head of taking apart a whole kitchen just to see if she could put it back together. The latest thing she has done is run away. Everybody is concerned about her, except her mom. The author wants the reader to feel bad for Celia because she doesn’t have much in her life. She runs away all the time and she has a very little attention span. Celia is a very interesting character.

Soccer Tourney
This weekend we had a soccer tournament. In our first game we scored 6 goals and the other team only scored 1. Their coatch was really mad, but we beat them pretty easily. But then came our second game. The team that we played was really good. That game was really close but in the end we ended up winning 2-1. The next game was the hardest game that we played all weekend; the chapionship. We were winning 1-0 almost the whole game until they got lucky and scored a goal. Then we went into a shootout. The last couple times that we have been in a shootout we have lost so this time we needed to redeem ourselves. After a couple of amazing shots, and saves we were winning by one goal. It came down to our second last shooter, if she made it we won, but if she missed it we would lose. She stepped up to shoot it and she made it. We finally won first place in a tournament, and everyone was overjoyed.
Dells story contuned...
"We are stuck on the top of the roller coaster" but again, nobody could hear him. Then I looked back and saw the other sew of cars slowly moving up the hill, and it looked like they were going to hit us. "Are we going to die" whimpered Lucy. Then the other car was right behind us almost to the propeller that was suppose to get us up and over the hill, but didn't work. Suddenly they hit the propeller and went shooting foreward. They smashed into the last car with Lucy and I in it and we rocketed down hill. After the giant drop, 3 more loops, and going down that steep hill backwards we finally got off the ride. I looked up and the other people were still up there. I was shaking as i stumbled down the steps and onto the street. "I am NEVER going on another roller coaster again" said Lucy. For the rest of the afternoon we sat and watched the people getting stuck, then getting bumped foreward down the hill. Then finally at the end of the night the workers figured out that they have to send a set of cars up there empty at night so nobody would be stuck up there over night. After that day the cars never got stuck again.

Jurrasic Park review
One lesson that the audience should learn from this movie is to never create something that went extinct for a reason. The dinosaurs died in a natural disaster and they were not meant to be on this earth. They should never have been recreated because they are just a threat to people that encounter them. If the dinosaurs weren’t created and they just made a normal theme park, none of that would have happened. The kids life would not have been in grave danger so many times. If the dinosaurs wouldn’t have been created everything would be fine.
Dells story
As you walk up the stairs your heart pumps, you are about to ride the biggest rollercoaster in the Wisconsin dells. Your best friend Lucy is shaking next to you. She is just as nervous as you are. You inch closer and closer to the front of the line, and the closer you get the more you think about going back and not riding this rollercoaster. Finally after 51 nerve-racking minutes you get to the front of the line, and the creepy man taking tickets is smiling at you. Then suddenly a man that had just gotten off the ride staggered past you, trying to get to a garbage can before he puked. “Let’s not go on this ride and go on a different ride instead” said Lucy.
“ No we have been waiting for too long to just leave let’s just go on the ride” I said. So we got into the seat, and the bar came down. We were the only 14 year olds there. The rest of the passengers were like 10 years older than us.
As people were boarding the rest of the cars Lucy said “I have a bad feeling about this look ahead of us.”
“Whoa” I said as I look forward, there were 3 loop de loops and then a hill so high I couldn’t see the top because of the clouds. Then I saw something really terrifying, there were barf bags in front of us. “It almost like they expect up to puke” said Lucy.
Then the rollercoaster started to inch forward, and my heart skipped a beat. As go we go around the first loop I am already feeling nauseous. “I don’t feel so well” said Lucy, and then suddenly she pukes into the barf bag. Then we start to go up the gia nt hill slowly. Lucy was hyperventilating and I looked down and I could barely see the ground. The people that were on the ground looked like little ants they were so small. Finally we got to the top, and on the roller coaster track there was a little flat part before you would go down the hill. Then the coaster started to slow down and then eventually stop.
“I think we are stuck” I said, and then suddenly everyone was paralyzed. We couldn’t even see the ground! Nobody knew we were up there, and everyone thought we would all die. We sat there in silence then suddenly someone realized they had their cell phones. So they try to call 911 to come help them, but then someone pushed the car a little bit, and the phone flew out of their hand. We watched it as it as it plummeted toward the ground. Finally the people on the ground realized we were stuck, but they couldn’ t get us down we were so high.
“Help” said the guy in the front car, but his efforts were useless and no one could hear him. Then the same guy that thought the people could hear him if he yelled

Elizabeth van lew
As I sit in my small extremely cramped cell I think about how things could have gone differently; how I could have denied getting captured from the confederates. I knew that I shouldn’t have walked outside all alone that night. So now I am stuck inside this tiny little room trapped with 15 other people. Then a women walks in and hands an old man a book to read. I am very confused about how this could happen, she is a Confederate soldier and is bringing us books and extra food. As I watch the man slowly open the book I see a smile starting to form on his face. He seems to be reading but he looks so happy. I walk over to him and look to see what is in this book. All I saw a bunch of words underlined in this small book.
Then I whispered “What is in this book, and who was that lady that gave you it.
“You don’t know who that is, that is Elizabeth Van Lew, otherwise known as crazy bet.” He said. “This is a code and she is going to help us escape, I’ll see if she can rescue you next” Then I looked up and saw her again. She was talking to the man that I had just talked to. I saw her smile and then she walked over to me.
As she handed me some bread and a book she whispered
“There is a code in this book read the underlined words and follow what it says, I’ll be back tomorrow if you have any more questions.” Then just as the guard glared at her she left and went over to talk to them. I saw them smile and it looked like she was charming them. They smiled and she walked away. As she was walking she quickly winked at me and I knew that she was here for a good cause. She was a spy for the Union. Then I got busy on trying to find out what crazy Bet was trying to tell me. After two hours I finally figured out what it said. As the curios others in the jail cell watched I slowly read the message.
"At the break of dawn next Sunday go to the well nearest the prison, then turn left into the woods. Follow the north star, and you will be led to freedom." When Sunday finally rolled around all of the prisoners in my cell got ready to leave. Crazy Bet took the keys and snuck us out the back door, and led us to the well. When we almost got caught she distracted the security guards. I was really dark and everyone wanted to go back but there was no turning back now, so we kept on going and eventually found one of the Union troops. We went back and told them everything that we have heard and saw. Elizabeth Van Lew was one of the most important women spies in the civil war.

spring break
This weekend I went to the bucks game and the brewers game. Right when I walked into the brewers stadium is smelled the freshly cooked sausages on the grill. Their was a cold wind that night. We got up to the box and the game started. The brewers ended up losing the game. I also went to the bucks game. The boxes at the bucks game were even nicer than the ones in the brewers stadium. Their was 2 pairs of binoculars inside of the box and they even had 2 TV's. Their was a huge crowd that night to watch one of the last games before the playoffs.

Creative Writing piece
A crash, like that of a window breaking, woke me with a start. Petrified, I lay in my bed silently listening and thinking about what that could have been. Then, I suddenly I heard it again, but this time it was louder, and it seemed like it was closer to me this time. I slowly sat up in bed, not daring to make any noise at all. I can hear footsteps creeping up the stairs getting closer and closer to me. All I can think about is how much I wish I would have slept over at my friends house. She had asked me but I ignored her and now here I am in a dark house all alone. I start to walk towards the door, knowing I didn’t have much time before I saw what had just broken into my house. I slowly crept forward and then suddenly stopped. The footstep had ceased.
“Hello, is anybody in here” I whispered quietly. I took one step out of my room and I was face to face with a dark figure. I think he had a mask on, but I couldn’t really tell. Then, the guy reveled his face and I was terrified of what I saw. He had a dark skin tone and he had deep scars all over his face. His arms and legs were covered in tattoos. My whole life I had hoped that I would never see a man like this but my luck has run out. Then, I saw the knife in his pocket. Knowing that he was going to kill me I ran towards the phone to dial 911. Just as I started to run the man bolted after me. Just as I had dialed the nine I saw a flash of silver and I felt immense pain in my stomach. My whole life flashed before my eyes. I couldn’t believe that I was really dying. Then, I faintly heard the man laugh, before I completely blacked out; forever.

The Necklace
Imagine getting invited to a party held by a prominent woman. Being poor, you have nothing to wear to such a formal event. After you buy a dress with the scarce money that you have, then you realize that there is no money left for a necklace or even some jewelry. To go to this party you must have a necklace, because everyone will have jewelry, at such an astonishing event. So, you borrow one from a friend. But, when you lose your friend’s marvelous necklace you are devastated. That is what happened in this short story. “ The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant is the trajic mode of literature and an has an enormous symbol which is the nighttime.
First of all, the plot line helps prove that this story is the trajic mode of literature. To be invited to this party was a huge honor for Matilda, but when she doesn’t have a necklace her world is in conflict. Her rise to power was when she was able to borrow a necklace from her friend, to go with her dress. She was overjoyed to have such an exquisite dress and breathtaking necklace to go to the party, but she had one flaw. Being poor, Matilda didn’t have the impressive fur coats that everyone was putting on as it got colder, and she was embarrassed. She wanted to get away from there and she left so fast that she wouldn’t even wait for a cab. When she started running her husband exclaimed “wait let me call you a cab.”, but she kept running. While she was running, she didn’t notice that she lost her necklace, and that is the tragic fall. Lastly, the death symbolism is at the end of the book when she realizes that after ten years of paying for a new necklace that the necklace that she lost wasn’t real. Matilda’s friend said “Oh my poor Matilda, mine were false.”
The fact that it is nighttime when Matilda has her tragic fall and loses her necklace help prove that this story is the tragedy mode of literature. That is a characteristic of a tragedy story because the time of day is night. It is late when she realizes that she lost the necklace. The nighttime is a huge symbol in the story “the necklace" becuase it is dark and terrifying things can happen.
The story “The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant is a heartbreaking story about a woman who doesn’t have much in her life. But, when she loses one of the most important things that she brought to the party; the necklace she is devastated. This short story is the tragedy mode of literature and one humongous symbol is the nighttime. The purpose of this story is always tell the truth because if Matilda would have told her friend that she lost the necklace then she wouldn’t have had to buy her a new necklace, and work for ten years.

Penelope is a black belt. She can do that flippie thing in that air and break a board. She could also break a board with her head. But, when she wasn’t learning tai-cuan-do she was a ninja. When she was 6 she went to Japan on vacation, but her parents both died in a plane crash. She can speak Japanese! But there was one problem Penelope was a loud ninja. The head ninja told her if she didn’t learn to be quiet she couldn’t be a ninja anymore, so Penelope went to America to try to figure out how to be a quiet ninja. She had a flashback of her 2 parents dying and she started to hyperventilate, so she decided to take a boat to America. So two days later, she boarded the one of the biggest cruise ships in the word, the Titanic 2.The boat ride took 2 and ½ weeks. From the coast of Japan to the Coast of California. By the time the ship hit land Penelope was already running to get off the boat, she was so sick. The first thing she saw when she got to America was the biggest McDonalds she had ever seen, so she decided to go check it out. As she walked in she was greeted by 5 obnoxious kids playing tag by the doorway. Then as she took one more step in a soccer ball flew right past her head. She took one more look at the two story McDonalds and walked right out, planning to come back when all of the kids were gone.
“Wow” she thought, “I haven’t been here since I was little and it is so different” Then she saw her hotel and rental car place about a half a mile away so, she took a taxi their so she could put her stuff down and get a car. When she got to the hotel she went up to her room and put her stuff down. “ Wow this is amazing” she said as she looked at the giant chocolate fountain in the corner, and the towels folded like elephants. Then she saw the best thing of all their, on the deck there was a huge hot tub with jets. After that she had to go get her rental car, and as soon as she got to the parking lot she found out that they had already rented out the car she wanted. They decided to give her any car she wanted so she got a baby blue convertible. So she drove her baby blue convertible all around Hollywood looking for celebrities. Then she saw Brittney Spears with her bodyguards. So it was finally 9 o’clock when all of the kids had left McDonalds, so she went back there. This time when she walked in it was quieter and more peaceful. The only people there was an elderly couple, drinking coffee. So she went upstairs into the play land. She climbed through the tiny tunnels quietly on my elbows until I got to the top by a huge swing. The top of the play ground was open so she used the swing to swing myself onto the top of the tunnels. She landed on the top quietly and gracefully. She then walked around for a while and then she remembered something. The reason she was in America was to become a quiet ninja, and if she didn’t even try to be quiet you couldn’t even hear her move. So she returned back to Japan and she was the quietist ninja in the whole group. Everyone was jealous and they wanted to go to America and become quieter too.

Day of a Butterfly
Do you know how it feels to be left out once in a while? People talking, and you’re just sitting on the side being ignored. Well, that’s what Myra Sayla faces every day at her school. That is until Myra gets leukemia and makes a friend. In the short story “The Day of The Butterfly” by Alice Munrow the purpose of the story, Helen, and Myra all play a huge part in the story.
First of all the purpose playes a significant part in this short story. The purpose of this story is that every cloud has a silver lining. Even though Myra had no friends and leukemia she didn’t give up and eventually made one friend named Helen. A lot of people in Myra’s grade didn’t even know that she existed. On page 234 the narrator says “I do not remember when Myra Sayla came to town, though she must have been in our class two or three years.” The narrator didn’t even know when Myra came to their school, so nobody really paid attention to her. She was in desperate need of a friend and in the end Helen provided the support she need to get through her cancer.
Helen, provides support for Myra when she gets cancer, but she also strays from her crowd of friends and gives Myra a chance to become her friend. The first time that Helen even gave Myra a chance to talk to her was a day before Myra stopped coming to school. Helen hesitated before going to talk to Myra. Helen said “I had often loitered in that way, wanting to walk with some important who was behind me, and not quite daring to stop and wait.” Because of Myra’s reputation and because Helen didn’t want to be seen with her. Helen hesitated and finally went over to Myra and it paid off. They became friends. Helen is also the narrator in the story. Everything in the story is heard from Helen's point of view, including her thoughts on Myra.
When Helen and Myra became friends their friendship benefited Myra the most because she didn’t have a friend and she needed one. At first when Helen told her to wait, Myra didn’t trust Helen when she told her to wait so she could walk with her. When Myra hesitantly stopped to wait for Helen, Helen thought “perhaps she thought I was playing a trick on her, perhaps she expected me to run past her and throw an empty cracker jack box at her.” When she developed cancer she couldn’t tell anyone and when she was probably going to tell Helen about it the next day she had to stay in the hospital. In the end, when Myra was in the hospital her class at school threw her a birthday party. She was overwhelmed when she got so many presents, and asked Helen to take some. She had an amazing friendship with Helen and she trusted her even though they hadn’t known each other for long.
Some considerable aspects this short story are Myra, Helen, and the purpose of the story. Myra never gave up and eventually made a much needed friend. The name Myra is a name from a Latin word meaning extraordinary. Myra is really extraordinary, she is definitely not an average person like everyone else. She has her own personality and when Helen realizes how great of a person Myra is they become friends.

A Story of an Hour
Imagine your husband dying in a train crash. You don’t know whether to be sad because he is dead or happy because you are free. Your marriage was miserable and now you are free. That is what happened to the main character Louise Mallard in the short story “The Story of an Hour.” In this short story by Kate Chopin blue skies, open windows are huge symbols.
First of all, in the story the open window symbolizes new beginnings. After Mrs. Mallard finds out that her husband Brently Mallard dies she sits in front of an open window and yells “free, free, free”. She yelled that because her husband was dead and she was happy she was finally free. She didn’t have to be in her unhappy marriage anymore. In this short story, Louise and Brently’s last name happens to be mallard. A mallard is a type of duck that is bound to its mate for the rest of its life. Mrs. Mallard couldn’t divorce Mr. Mallard and she had to stay in her terrible marriage.
The open window symbolizes freedom, but when she looks out the open window she sees blue skies that symbolize happiness. Louise doesn’t have to deal with her husband anymore. Now she can do whatever she wants. When there are blue skies that usually means that it is a nice day, a day of happiness and glee. Louise is unhappy with her marriage, so when she becomes a widow after her husband dies a symbol of her happiness is the blue skies.
Some huge symbols in the short story are blue skies and an open window. Kate Chopin had a hard life and some events in her life probably influenced how she wrote this story. She wrote this story in 1894, just 2 years after her husband died and left her with 12,000 dollars in debt. That was a lot of money back then, and she was probably mad at her husband when she wrote this story. That is why the main character Louise in the story loathed her husband, and was happy when he died.

Short Story
Then the same guy that thought the people could hear him if he yelled help suggested that he get out and push the cars. He got out and started to try to push it and it started to inch forward. We all helped the cars and he jumped in, and the cars plummeted down the huge hill. It was breath- taking how fast we went. When we finally got to the end, everyone was so happy to see us.
“I can’t believe we made it back I thought we were going to die” said Lucy.
“Yea let’s never go on that roller coaster ever again”. I said. Then, the reporters showed up, and everyone wanted to talk to us. It was the scariest moment of my life, but everything turned out good.
